Serendipity to find this little gem as I was killing time waiting for an appointment. The staff were very friendly. My server checked on me regularly to make sure I was satisfied. The place was filled with regulars who were having a great time. The food was excellent. The portions were generous and the prices VERY resonable. I will return...with friends!

What a gem! I stopped by for breakfast while visiting Spokane. Fantastic service from the minute I walked in. My omelet, hasbrowns & sourdough toast were the best I've had in ages. My coffee cup stayed full of hot, fresh coffee during my meal. This kind of clean, locally owned restaurant is what makes dining out so nice. It's no wonder why you've been in business for 25 years. Jackie was our waitress, she was truly amazing! She was very personal and interactive, and as first time customers we'll definitely be back. The food was delicious and you got a large portion for a very reasonable price, you definitely get your moneys worth! 10/10 recommend

This was a breakfast stop that we have been wanting to make for a while now. Walking in the door the 'diner' smell hits you right away. Not a bad smell, just one that lets you know they've been doing this for quite some time. I ordered the special, Chicken Fried Steak with eggs & toast. My wife had the Denver Omelette w/French Toast side. The chicken fried steak was good but nothing special and unfortunately the eggs were ordered as medium-well and arrived with yolks and whites runny. The omelette and French toast I am told were good, but again nothing out of the ordinary. Our server was very good about keeping drinks filled and checked on us often. She had a very nice demeanor and made us feel at home. Bottom line is that it is ordinary food with very pleasant service.
Just right, after a few errands to run in the area with my youngest. I've been here several times before, and it's everything that it professes to be. Solid griddle fare, neighborhood friendliness, and always a good value. Bunch of crusty--but smiling--geezers reading the paper with their coffee and hearty grub in the AM hours. For a guy my age, some mornings you just want that. My family loves places like this, so I never have to worry about dining partners. And thanks to Hillside for putting Best Foods/Hellman's mayo on my club, with bacon cooked the Irish way. That will always make me purr...
